Building a source of truth for the global supply chain
WorkWhen I joined Altana in 2022, the company had a comprehensive database encompassing a significant part of the global supply chain. At the time, accessing this data required knowledge of SQL or Python, or through hand cranked dashboards.
I worked alongside a small team of engineers and a product manager for six months to launch our initial version. Over the next year, we continuously improved the product, incorporating customer feedback and introducing new features.

Playground
Figma had its limits, especially when designing a scalable, dynamic node-and-edge interface. To push beyond them, I built a playground that generated synthetic data, enabling prototyping for features like conditional formatting and grouping.
Design System
Joining Altana at Series A as one of the first designers, meant I got to build a design system from the ground up. I worked closely with the engineering team to create a system that was flexible enough to accommodate the needs of a rapidly growing product, while also being consistent and easy to use.
